I was driving across Nebraska on my way to Colorado for a family ski trip when my cell phone rang. It was Kip Miller from Michigan reporting a male Cinnamon Teal he had found while leading a field trip to LaPorte Lakes. I then called Ken Brock back in Indiana to report the discovery. His group relocated the bird the following day. Remarkably, the bird stuck around until I returned a week later, and I was able to get this photo.
The following photos were taken with a Nikon Coolpix 995 Digital Camera attached
to a Kowa TSN4 telescope.
